Gillian Davies

Gillian Davies is a senior wetlands and soil scientist at BSC Group in Massachusetts, USA, where she advises public and private clients on wetland ecology, soil science, and regulatory issues. Her work focuses on wetland restoration, hydrologic and soil assessments, and nature-based climate solutions.

As an active leader within the Society of Wetland Scientists—including past President of the Professional Certification Program and co-lead of the Climate Change and Wetlands Initiative—Gillian brings both scientific depth and global perspective. She is also a Visiting Scholar at the Tufts University Global Development & Environment Institute and holds PWS and RSS professional certifications.

Her plenary talk will explore the role of wetlands in climate resilience and ecosystem connectivity, offering a compelling scientific perspective for today’s rapidly changing landscapes.
