Brian Keith Sorrell

Specialist in aquatic photosynthesis and primary productivity, Carbon balances in wetlands, Wetland and lake ecology, Ecophysiology of aquatic plants, Arctic and Antarctic algal physiology, Limnology.
Associate Professor in Aquatic Biology at Aarhus University, Denmark, with long experience in research and teaching in the fields of ecophysiology of aquatic and wetland plants, especially in the areas of photosynthesis, productivity, plant flooding tolerance, and gas exchange. Currently the two main research fields are (i) the photobiology of Arctic sea ice algae in relation to climate change; and (ii) photosynthesis and productivity of wetland plants, especially in relation to wetland restoration and paludiculture.
Brian has been involved in developing guidelines for management and protection of freshwater resources, environmental monitoring, and environmental impact assessment.
